On June 14, head to any Contra Costa County library and sign up for Summer Reading "Paws to Read".

The program is for kids age 2 through 5th grade. For every 20 minutes you read or are read to, or for every literacy building activity you complete, mark off one paw print. Pre-readers may share a book with a parent, sibling, or a friend.

Reading records will be available at the library or use the reading log link here, then track time spent reading; earn prizes upon completion.

Prizes include: Chabot Space & Science Center pass, puppy hat and a paperback book.

Sniff out incredible stories and events, or simply curl up in a nice sunny spot to enjoy a good book!

Prizes available beginning July 12. Event runs through August 23. For more information, visit the library website.
