Cappy Ricks Park and Nancy Boyd Parks are the latest Measure H project accomplishment since the passing of the Bond in 2008. The Cappy Ricks Park and Nancy Boyd Park is part of a three park renovation project that also includes Hidden Valley Park which will be completed shortly. The total cost for the three park renovation project is approximately $5 million dollars.
Cappy Ricks Park project consisted of the construction of a new restrooms, paths, turf, irrigation and new picnic area with rubber surfacing under the existing play equipment and the resurfacing of the basketball court. The tennis courts were reconstructed and improved with new state of the art lighting.
Nancy Boyd Park project replaced the picnic areas with four beautiful new picnic areas with barbeques, new playground areas and refurbished the basketball court surface along with new turf and irrigation. The improvements to the restrooms, ball field, tennis courts and basketball courts have previously been completed. The children will love the new equipment in Nancy Boyd Park, with a new slide, swing sets, rope bridge rope. Each park has newly remodeled facilities that are ADA accessible.
A ribbon cutting will be scheduled for Hidden Valley Park in early spring.
